Our #BADASSWOMAN this week is Amber Kazalbash!
Founder and creative director of My Eyes Are Hungry, a personal style diary she started in 2012. Amber works in marketing and communications and is based in Los Angeles. Her contemporary and edgy personal style is deeply rooted in art, fashion and her South Asian background. She has been featured on publications like Cosmopolitan India, Buzzfeed and Mane Addicts.
Amber and I connected over Instagram in early 2016 and both shared admiration of each other's work and really wanted to collaborate. At the time it didn't work out however this year is finally happened with an impromptu trip to LA , we met up and really clicked!
What I love about Amber's style is that each outfit is carefully thought out, and each piece has a story as to where she found it; whether it was a 'thrift' (charity) store or her favourite high street store. She makes each look, effortless and curated to every detail.
Her blog reads like small snippets of personal stories, with each featuring a hidden gem of music maticulously sourced from soundcloud. So you not only get to see the visuals from her incredible yet genuine fashion shoots, read her stories but you get to feel the emotion of that blog entry through the music. It is this sincerity that I love in Amber's work and her personality. Her work isn't about how many followers she has, its more about creating great content and getting those real followers that resonate with 'My Eyes Are Hungry' and this is something we are big believers in at Anisha Parmar London too! Where we want our customers to really resonate with the message of our brand...
