Neelam is a personal stylist, and she's styled some of our APL pieces with gorgeous clothing pieces from By Sharan. Sharan, the founder of Bysharan, launched her brand to create “modern Indian clothing for the next generation”, influenced by her British Asian upbringing and identity. Integrating pieces, representative of both worlds, that are interchangeable to suit any occasions from “an Indian wedding or a night out”. She takes integrity to make her fashion brand sustainable and ethical to “bring back heirloom pieces to pass to the next generation” and dedicated years to study textile design; further gained specialist embroidery skills and knowledge, making up a large part of Indian attire and garments. Fun Fact: I actually studied textiles with Sharan 10 years ago at Loughborough University and we just recently reconnected!
Neelam, the founder of Neelampersoanlstylist, decided to become a personal stylist after years of indecisiveness of what her purpose was. Neelam eventually discovered her true calling “to help women from all walks of life grow in inner and outer confidence. To enable those around me to look and feel good in their own individual skin, stand tall with confidence and detach from thoughts of judgement from others”. She completed her training as a Professional Style Coach and Personal Stylist to start her business and fulfil her goal to “make personal style accessible to any and every woman from any background or age”. Fun fact: Myself, Sharan and Neelam connected on a shoot for the amazing Jaspreet Kaur's 'Brown Girl Like me' book launch photoshoot and have been in touch ever since!
Pink is definitely one of our go to colours this summer, and we wanted to show you all the different ways you can dress up and dress down our pieces with Bysharan's. Neelam shows the various ways to style The Naomi Langha and Top, from wedding attire to dinner and drinks with friends. One of our favourites, is look 1: styling The Naomi top, an intricate magenta ,vintage silk brocade racer top, colour blocked by a pair of wide legged orange trousers, completed with our Mango Drops. Perfect for the light summer evenings we've been enjoying; going out with friends and family for a drink or two….or five, looking fierce while doing it.
